D.Gray-Man is surprisingly good. It's a shounen anime, so much of it revolves around fighting. I love the gothic/demonic style, however, and the 19th-century setting. What makes the setting work so well is the futuristic technology employed by the Black Order. The intentional blasphemy in the design of the Exorcist characters is a nice touch.

Allen Walker is cute and sweet. Admirable but naive, not unlike other heroes from shounen-style plots. The humor is well-done but not groundbreaking, and the absurdity of the monsters can be seen in other animes of the genre. Despite this, I quite enjoy it and look forward to seeing the story progress.

I've been absent from this forum. My bad. Seems like a bit of a lull the past couple months in terms of new anime for me. The new Naruto is out, of course, and Death Note is going hard. Have several Kiba episodes I haven't watched and a handful of new series I haven't tried yet. I'll start updating more frequently :P
